Elvie Lowe at site of missing road markings

Local Liberal Democrat, Elvie Lowe, has taken up the issue of the continued disappearance of the Bus Shelter from outside the Library in Milton Regis High Street and for the markings to the St. Paul's Street Pedestrian crossing, which are also missing. She has lobbied KCC to replace the markings rapidly on safety grounds and will continue to badger KCC at every opportunity.

The bus shelter was demolished in a vehicle accident and Swale Borough Council would normally pursue an insurance claim. However, the police have been unable to trace the driver of the offending vehicle so an insurance claim seems unlikely at this time.

Elvie says,

"If you have any information regarding this incident please contact myself or SBC so that our residents don't have to continue to stand out in the rain and we can replace the bus shelter sooner rather than later."

She explained that if it had to be replaced from SBC's budget, it would not be a like for like replacement but a less expensive design."
